OUR MISSION

The advisory group known as ENRICH (Educational and Research Initiatives for Collaborative Health) is responsible for advising the Provost about opportunities to strengthen research and educational collaborations between Rice and other members of the Texas Medical Center (TMC). ENRICH works with faculty to identify and develop high priority opportunities, as well as address barriers to collaboration.

2019-2020 ENRICH study of Rice faculty collaborations in the TMC showed:

  • Over 21 percent of faculty were engaged in active collaborations with research partners in TMC.

  • The majority of research collaborations were conducted with Baylor College of Medicine, MD Anderson Cancer Center, UTHealth schools and the University of Houston.

Rice also has active Education collaborations through joint degree programs and affiliation and visitor agreements with Baylor College of Medicine, MD Anderson Cancer Center, UTHealth, UTHealth McGovern Medical School and Houston Methodist.
